ART/OPIA:NOISE BERLIN
Urban memory collection
Berlin is a city written in layers.
Walls record time, gestures, resistance, transformation.
Paint overlaps paint. Writing covers writing. Nothing is erased completely.
Fragmenta · Berlin collects fragments of the city’s urban surfaces and transforms them into collectible design objects.
Poufs and seats originate from photographs taken directly in the streets of Berlin, across different neighborhoods, capturing traces of everyday life and spontaneous expression.
What was once part of the city becomes matter.
What was marginal becomes central.
Concept
The Berlin collection explores the idea of stratification.
Each object derives from a real urban fragment:
a wall surface observed, isolated, and archived before being transformed into form.
Placed back into the city through photographic shoots, the objects return to their origin — not as decoration, but as presences.
They occupy space, interrupt scale, and question the boundary between object and environment.
The objects
The Berlin collection includes:
-
Collectible poufs
-
Soft sculptural seats
Each piece is produced in a limited, numbered edition and handcrafted in Italy.
No two fragments are identical.
Each object carries the memory of its original location.
Urban context
The collection is photographed across Berlin — streets, intersections, open spaces — where the objects temporarily inhabit the city that generated them.
These urban shoots are not scenography.
They are acts of return.
The city becomes both source and backdrop.
Fragment archive
Each piece belongs to an ongoing archive and is identified by:
-
City
-
District
-
Fragment ID
-
Year of capture
Fragmenta is not a series of products.
It is a growing collection of urban memories.
